Manuscript ("the app") is developed by Sightline Technologies, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). The
app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no network communication of
its own, no telemetry, no analytics, and no advertising.
Data the app stores
The app stores the manuscripts, chapters, scenes, and notes you create — along with your
word count history — only in local files on your own device, at
%AppData%\Manuscript\. This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded,
synced, or transmitted anywhere by the app.
Network and system access
The app does not make any outbound network requests, does not contact any server operated by
Sightline Technologies, LLC or any third party, and does not include any third-party SDKs,
advertising libraries, or crash/analytics reporting.
Data sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties, because the app does not collect
or transmit any data in the first place.
Data retention and deletion
Your manuscripts and notes remain on your device until you delete them yourself — see
Delete Your Data for how.
Children's privacy
Manuscript is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from
anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised
"Last updated" date.
