Manuscript does not require an account and never transmits your data anywhere — everything
it stores lives in local files on your own device. You are always free to delete it yourself;
no request to us is required.
1. Deleting individual projects within the App
Open Manuscript, find the project you want to remove, and choose Delete. This
removes that project's files immediately.
2. Deleting all of your data
To remove every saved manuscript and note at once, delete the entire data folder instead of
removing projects one by one. Close Manuscript, then delete:
%AppData%\Manuscript\
The app will recreate an empty folder the next time you create a new project.
3. Uninstalling the App
Manuscript does not require an account, so there is no separate account to delete. Uninstalling
the app through Windows Settings or the Microsoft Store removes the application itself. If the
%AppData%\Manuscript folder is still present afterward, you can delete it manually
using the path above to remove any remaining saved data.
4. What's stored
The only data Manuscript stores is what you create yourself: manuscripts, chapters, scenes,
outline and notes content, and word count history. Nothing else is collected, and nothing is
ever sent off your device.
