This page is a starting template, not finished legal advice. Replace the bracketed placeholders
with your actual data practices and have a qualified attorney review this policy before
publishing it for real users.
1. Information we collect
Thoughtline processes audio captured by your device's microphone in order to produce a written
transcript, and stores the resulting transcripts you choose to save. Audio
is processed only on-device. Raw audio is retained after transcription.
2. How we use information
Audio and transcript data are used solely to provide dictation and let you organize and revisit
your saved entries. We do not sell your dictation content.
3. Data storage & security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
4. Third-party services
The App may use third-party services for functions such as speech-to-text processing, crash
reporting, or app store billing.
5. Children's privacy
Thoughtline is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information
from children under 13.
6. Your choices
You can delete saved transcripts within the App at any time, revoke microphone access in your
device settings (which will limit App functionality), or contact us to request deletion of any
information we hold on your behalf.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating
the "Last updated" date above.
